Project Management: Project Support

PAN Livestock specialises in both management and technical project support. Services include day-to-day administrative activities on behalf of project funders, including:

 

• Project administration & secretarial support.

• Project accounting.

• Resource and manpower supply.

• Laboratory equipment supplies.

• Information Technology supplies, advice and support services.

• Procurement.

 

Technical support covers the full range of skills and expertise within PAN Livestock, including tailored information systems and software for projects specialising in livestock development. These services are designed to be adaptive to reflect the dynamic nature of the project cycle, and meet the changing needs and objectives of projects and their clients.

 Its links with the Veterinary Epidemiology and Economics Research Unit (VEERU) enables PAN Livestock to provide training and staff development packages to support and enhance the professional capacities and human resources of projects and individual staff.

Private and Co-operative Livestock Services Network Development Programme, Zambia 1994 – 1999 (EU)
This project supported innovative service structure development and capacity building for veterinary services in Zambia, involving public, private and co-operative institutions. The project aimed to enhance training programmes for Zambian veterinarians, provide practical training for new graduates, support development of private enterprise in service provision, and advise on the privatisation process.
