PAN Livestock staff are members of the Veterinary Epidemiology and Economics Research Unit (VEERU), with academic status in the School of Agriculture, Policy and Development, The University of Reading. A symbiotic partnership between PAN Livestock and VEERU facilitates a constant exchange of skills and ideas between training, research and the application of techniques in the field. Training and PhD research activities focus on livestock health and development issues of international importance within the following broad categories;

  • Managing livestock service delivery

  • Sustainable herd health management.

  • Strategic disease control.
     

  • Livestock economics.

  • Development of participatory methodologies

  • Information for livestock specialists.
