Livestock
Economics: Socio-economics
PAN
Livestock recognises the socio-economic opportunities and constraints
facing farmer and consumer communities, and the livelihood strategies of
individual households. The sustainability of livelihoods of the poor
depends on the identification and provision of appropriate multi-sectoral
services – of which agricultural services are only part – to all
households. This philosophy underpins all PAN Livestock’s services and
advice which, in addition to its socio-economics specialists, is
supported by experts in sociology and anthropology.
