Livestock Economics: Livestock Policy Analysis

Much of PAN Livestock’s work focuses on developing decision support tools for livestock specialists at the production and service level, and policy and planning level. In an increasingly global market for livestock products, the national and international policy environment has a direct impact on individual producers and consumers. PAN Livestock’s policy analysis services support a co-ordinated, integrated and demand-led policy environment for both producers and consumers.

• Feasibility study of potential for increased meat processing facilities, Belize (DANIDA).

• Evaluation of livestock credit and restocking projects (IFAD).
